AWS D1.1 Certified Welding

Valley Box Company Announces AWS D1.1 Certified Welding into Product and Service Range

Valley Box Company, a Southern California industrial packaging manufacturer, announced AWS D1.1 Certified Welding capabilities. The Certified Welder (CW) Program sets standards in order for welders to properly adhere to the National Welding Procedure Specifications.

“Being AWS D1.1 Certified means we’ll be able to take on more jobs and that our quality of welding has improved,” says Kelly Hurd, Valley Box Welding Department Manager. “Right now we’re working on the basics and plan to move forward with more certifications in the future.”

Structural steel weldments are tested at an accredited facility where an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) inspects welds. “We aced the inspection!” Hurd proudly states.
