This technology is based on designer molecules which prevent corrosion by attaching themselves to all metal surfaces and block the corrosion process even in the presence of moisture or corrosive chemicals. In a closed space these molecules continually protect all metal surfaces because they are "active", i.e. they continually vaporize and re-condense attaching themselves ionically to the metal surfaces. The CPT molecules are non-toxic and environmentally safe. The CPT molecules have been added to various carriers for various uses; an oil based carrier for jobs where lubrication is needed, a solvent based carrier where a longer lasting protection is required or a water based carrier where solvent or oil based carriers may cause a fire hazard. The molecules have also been impregnated into foam pads which "give-off" or emit the protecting vapor. There are other products as well.
