Vapor Barrier bags (aka: Vacuum Packing, Vapor Packing, Foil bags, Method II, Method 50) have been developed as a means of preserving the contents of a package against damage from elements such as; dirt, dust, salt spray, grease, moisture, and other airborne contaminants.
Products bagged and sealed in properly controlled production environments will remain protected for twelve to eighteen months. Valley Box offers two types of material for heat sealed vapor barrier bags:
- Poly/foil laminate (Marvel Seal 360, MIL-PRF-131J Class 1) Less expensive, lightweight, greaseproof, vapor proof and waterproof.
- "Scrim-fabric"/foil laminate (MIL-PRF-131K Class 3) is more heavy duty and stands up to abuse better than the poly/foil because of its fabric backing.
Bag styles available:
- Flat Bag (sealed on three sides and open on one)
- Gusseted-flat bottom bag (two piece with a top and bottom tray)
